On Saturday, July 9th members enjoyed a trip to the centre of Birmingham.
After a delayed arrival due to the train breaking down we emerged from Grand Central, taking in images of it’s exterior then went through the Piccadilly Arcade then to Grosvenor square

We then went to Victoria Square and Centenary Square, stopping for a coffee in the Old Library tea room. We were drawn to the library where there are numerous photo opportunities both of the exterior, the interior and the view from the roof.
Following  a visit to the Cambrian Wharf we found a good hostelry for a tasty burger and a chat then on to The Roundhouse, Gas Street Basin and a walk along the canal. Making our way back towards Grand Central we encountered a Spitfire and also took further shots of the amazing external architecture of the station.
